Tony Arefin, a self-taught designer, produced catalogs for many significant British art exhibitions during the early 90s (he was described by one design critic as "single-handedly processing the print needs of the entire British art scene"). Arefin went on to become Creative Director at I.D. magazine, and art director for Bomb, Blind Spot, and Art + Auction. (He later worked for Wieden & Kennedy in Portland, OR, and Ogilvy & Mather, NYC.)
An exhibition of Arefin's work opens at Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, on September 12. In case you happen to be on the other side of the pond.
