Not much of a surprise, but French Vogue announced today that Emmanuelle Alt will succeed Carine Roitfeld as the publication's Rédactrice en Chef.[via style bible]

Going through past issues of the magazine recently to review Carine's time at the helm — more on that later — made me consider just how much Emmanuelle's sensibility has contributed to its unmistakable viewpoint.
